Leadership Summit
Our client had a collaborative work culture that included over 30 people in selection of key initiatives. Leadership wanted to gain agreement on the key three to five things that the organization would work on. Previous attempts had led to more of a proliferation and the group was now discussing over one hundred items as potential priorities. The client was firm about including the larger team in the discussion and approached us for help at a scheduled one day off-site leadership summit.
We assisted the client in preparation for the meeting including establishing ground rules, creating a common format for presenting ideas and working with individuals to understand how the group worked together prior to the meeting. A meeting detailed agenda was prepared and the leader coached on their role in obtaining the desired outcomes.
The leadership summit resulted in the consolidation of the numerous individual objectives into three key initiatives. Action planning and accountabilities were defined with one summit session devoted to gaining acceptance of the initiatives. The agreed upon initiatives and supporting language were incorporated into organization’s internal plans and external support collateral.
